Faber’s growth and development have been enhanced by it’s ability to quickly design and manufacture custom or modified fittings in accordance with applicable specifications and standards. The engineering staff at Faber is available for customer interaction in the development and definition of product requirements. Compliance with customer requests, through stringent documentation specifications is accomplished by Faber’s engineering department.

Faber utilizes the latest in CAD/CAM technology for design and manufacturing and can communicate electronically with customers and suppliers, sharing information using universal drawing exchange format (DXF). Engineering standards and specifications are maintained by Faber’s Document Control processes which ensures only the latest revisions are used to procure, manufacture and delivery the highest quality products.

Product controls are also defined for the production of finished goods. Material, manufacturing and finish processing specifications and standards are coordinated within all Faber’s fabrication processes which ensures quality is built into the product at the time of manufacture. Faber’s Engineering team will work with customers in development of Key Characteristics on products to be manufactured and monitored using SPC methods during fabrication.

Faber’s personnel have been involved with industry standards committee’s for over 20 years. As a participating member to SAE Committee G3-Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose and Tube Assemblies, Faber has helped develop/improve specifications and standards supporting the aerospace community. Additionally, Faber is an active participant in the International Standard Organization (ISO) TC/20 SC/10 Committee which supports the European Community with metric standardization.

These standardization efforts lower costs and creates uniform requirements for customer fitting applications.
